JOURNEYS | The Road Home will hold its annual Homeless Memorial Service to honor the area?s homeless who have passed away during the past year, as many did not have a service at the time of their passing. The event will take place on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 from 9:00 am to 10:00 am at JOURNEYS | The Road Home, 1140 E. Northwest Highway in Palatine.
The service and candle lighting is held as a reminder that homelessness is still a serious ? and growing ? problem in the northwest suburbs and throughout the country. Speakers will include staff, community members and volunteers. Homeless men, women and their families will participate in the readings. The media, elected officials, civic leaders and community members are urged to attend.
